Silver-bearing solder is gaining popularity throughout the refrigeration industry.  It is liked over brazing alloys as the brazed components whose metals are weakened by annealment from high brazing heat do not provide strength and stability in the joint.
 

Of the numerous brands of low temperature solder available, Harris Stay-Brite 8 is highly preferred over other brands as this solder is 5 times stronger than ordinary solders.  Stay-Brite 8 bonds with all of the ferrous and nonferrous alloys (including stainless steel, nickel, copper, brass, aluminum, etc).  It is also excellent for filling holes or cracks and will not flow through loose fitting pipe couplings.  Features include:
