Copper Tubing & Fittings
In the refrigeration industry, copper tubing and fittings are referred to by their actual measured outside dimension. (In the plumbing industry they are referred to by "nominal" dimensions). All RParts copper fittings are wrot rather than cast to eliminate the possibility of porosity. Brass fittings are designed to withstand the pressure of refrigeration service. Our copper tubing is cleaned and capped for refrigeration applications.
Copper Tubing
| Our copper tubing is
designed specifically for refrigeration use. It is cleaned,
nitrogen-purged and capped. Full anneal gives maximum ease of
bending. We stock full rolls (50') and 1/2 rolls (approximately
25'). Refrigeration tubing size is always specified by the
actual O.D. of the tube. To help combat condensation sweating in hot and humid environments, use closed cell foam insulation tape and wrap the adhesive backed insulation over the suction line. The insulation tape can also be used to prevent condensation on chill and cold water lines (copper and iron). |

Bronze Vibration Isolators
| For 50 years commercial refrigeration systems have used these 100% bronze isolators (see cut-away) to prevent the compressor vibration from work-hardening the copper tubing. They are placed between the compressor and the connecting tubing. They are for vibration isolation only and must not be bent. |

Return, or "U"
bends provide a 180 degree turn in a much smaller space than would be
possible with a normal tube bender. The 1/2" ID return bends have a
1.5" center-to-center distance while the 5/8" ID bends are 3" center-to-center. |

Fitting Reducing Union
| Fitting Reducing Unions
permit the use of smaller diameter tubing in connectors that are
designed for a larger size. They differ from standard Reducing
Unions in that large end of the Fitting Reducing Union is specified by
the O.D. size rather than the I.D. size. (For example, #025-0301
could be used in one end of a 3/8" Tee to reduce it down to 1/4".)

Heavy Duty Flare Nuts

Copper Caps & Gaskets
