"Thanks for your response on the st1 code. I did program it correctly then, but the thermostat is still not communicating with the module any suggestions?"

"Robert,Be sure that the correct mode is programmed in step one. Mode 2 must be selected for the t'stat to operate correctly.Look for a flashing dot at the top of the display, between the right two digits. This indicates that the thermostat is calling for cooling. If the sensor temperature is below the setpoint, it should be flashing, and there should be continuity between terminals one and two on the Carel. What are the values you selected for St1 and P1?Forum Tech"

"You instructions are incorrect. Mode 2 is not direct mode. Mode one is. After attempting to re program the t'stat repeatedly, I re installed my mechanical t'stat with great difficulty re pulling the wires. As I was going through the papers cleaning up I pick up the french instructions that came with the carel. My french is non- existant, but I did notice it said mode 1 was direct. I tried reprogramming it using mode one instead of mode 2 as your instructions and e mail recomended. any way in mode 1 the direct light flashes, and the t' stat controls the module. thanks for a weeks stress and hassle because of bad directions."
