Freezer Size

"I have purchased a sailboat with the DIY 1M kit with the evaporator box upgrade. I have read the specs that say it is good for a .7CF freezer and a 12 CF fridge. Just want to confirm I am reading this correctly----my freezer will be just slightly larger than the evaporator itself, is that right. At present my freezer is around 3CF and just doesn't keep things frozen. I am assuming now that the size is the problem as the evaporator quickly comes down to -2F. thanks"

"Jim,The inside of the evaporator is the freezer. A larger evaporator will allow a larger freezer, a good freezer will have the evaporator wrapped around two or three walls.Hope this helps,Forum Tech"
